CNC sheet metal processing

Laser cutting, punching nibbling, edging

With combination machines (lasers and punching) and pure flatbed lasers from Trumpf, UTC is able to produce even smaller batch sizes effectively and economically.

The Trumatic 6000 combines the advantages of laser processing, e.g. clean contour cuts, with the very effective method of punching. This means that sheet metal parts, particularly in the thinner range up to 8 mm, can be effectively processed on one machine without workpiece changes between 2 machines. This capability shortens lead times of complex laser parts that are subsequently finished with follow-up operations (punching of standardized holes and tabs, forming of pull-throughs, cutting of threads, minor bending).

At UTC, sheet sizes of 3000 x 1500 mm (large format) are processed on the Trumatic 6000, but even overlengths (greater than 4000 mm) have already been realized by means of repositioning.

The flatbed laser TRULASER 3030 is used as a pure 2-D laser and is characterized by a very high processing speed. Due to a powerful laser unit, sheet thicknesses of up to 20 mm and a sheet size of 3000 x 1500 mm can be processed here.

After laser cutting, the parts are further processed by CNC bending machines to produce the required part geometry. A wide range of forming operations can be realized by numerous bending tools The machines with a maximum pressing force of 200t can bend parts up to a length of 4000 mm.

After sheet metal forming, we are able to join the formed sheet metal parts into assemblies using all welding methods (resistance welding, MIG, MAG, TIG). Surface finishing (KTL, powder coating, enamelling, galvanization) is carried out in cooperation with our partners.
